Standing Out for Senior Sessions

“The best color in the world is the one that looks good on you.” - Coco Chanel

You can tell a lot about a person based on the clothing and colors they are wearing. It’s our way of expressing ourselves without explicitly stating that. So why not do that with your senior session? For any senior fashionista, this is their calling just like it was for Makiya. Makiya is one of my seniors who absolutely knows how to pull all the colors together but also catches your eye with those colors. The color of choice here that did that was pink. Her pink top in front of whites and greens makes her stand out and be bold.

Makiya’s advice on picking your outfit that you want to stand out is to “make sure you choose outfits that represent you and outfits that you feel confident/comfortable in.” This doesn’t mean that your outfit has to be your old jeans and t-shirt but it means that if you buy something new, don’t just get it because it’s cute and trendy. Trying to make your session trendy with fashion choices will ultimately hurt you later on. This may be a difficult concept, however, you are going to want these images to stand the test of time. Pick outfits that aren’t considered too trendy, but will be able to be enjoyed and displayed for many years to come.
